Great for increasing the installed width of a Heim Joint (for example stepping a 1/2" Heim up to suit a 1.375" width) whilst not reducing the amount of angular misalignment the Rod End is capable of, typically for suspension joints that have a great amount of travel, such as: Control Arms/Tie/Toe Rods to Steering Knuckles/Rear Knuckles etc
